In 2007, I transferred to Spokane and promoted through the ranks. Currently, I serve as the Captain of Eastern WA, leading three teams who work retail liquor as well as a statewide team who works non-retail liquor. In addition to these duties, I serve as my agency's Chaplain and co-chair our Peer Support Team.
For the past ten years, I've been married to former District 4 Spokane Communications Officer Jeff Lopez. We live with our five adopted rescue dogs who keep us entertained and busy. In our spare time, we cater private parties and also operate “Totally Baked Pizza”, a mobile wood-fire pizza trailer. And for those who are still confused, yes, retired District 3 Yakima Communications Officer Laura Larson and I are really cousins!
I've never lost my passion for blue & gold, and am honored to be asked to join the RWSPEA Board. It's been great, so far, re-connecting with long-lost friends and co-workers. I'm excited to see what the future holds.
Access to the members area of the website is restricted to current dues paying members of the RWSPEA.
Graduated from the University of Washington in June 1983, I began my law enforcement career in March 1984 as a Communications Officer in District 2 Bellevue. You might know me better by my maiden name, Zanger. I remained in District 2 Communications for fourteen years four months, promoting up to a CO3. In July 1998, I accepted an offer from the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, where I hired-on as a Liquor Enforcement Officer 1 in Everet
